Reading through PS/SS

Finally obtained access to the books again (the first one was lost in a bookshelf - weird place for it). Some things that are interesting to note:

* Dumbledore has a birthmark scar that is a perfect map of the London Underground. Oddly, this was mentioned on hp_essays the day after I read it. Once is the thing itself, twice is a coincidence, but three times is True Game. I'm watching.

* A good deal of Draco's interaction with the trio seems to be directed at Ron. I suspect he thinks Ron an easier target than Harry, and Hermione isn't a fully-integrated member of the trio yet.

* The taking of points is very, very small. Snape only took one (!) the first time from Harry. And while it's true that he showed some animosity towards Harry from day one, it's definitely Harry and Ron who're keeping the suspicion of Snape alive, and that is fueling their dislike of him.

* Hagrid comes across as very trusted by DD. I don't even think Harry has *met* Dumbledore yet, and it's already Christmas. I was remembering a much more active mentor-type role.

* Petunia has blonde hair. McGonagall has black hair. Who knew?
