More thoughts from the re-read...

Neville thinks it's unusual for Ron and Hermione to take their wands to the Quidditch match (this is first year). Sooo... I wonder what the norm was for carrying wands around outside of classes?

There are wild dragons in Britain. This makes me happy. I think I smell a storyline, too.

I wonder how much of the magic stuff works with Muggles? Hermione's parents get to Diagon Alley, somehow, to change some pounds into galleons and buy books. I think they can also get through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4, so what keeps Muggles from finding their way in there by accident? Or is there a wizard stationed on the other side with an Obliviate ready to go?

Could a Muggle pass for a wizard if he was equipped with enough magic-emulating magic items?
